Rev. Dr. Rudy Guess
Rudy and his wife Regina (Gina) comes to Tuscumbia First from Decatur First UMC. Rudy answered the call to preach while in high school in Cherokee, Alabama. Rudy prepared for the ministry by earning a BS in Social Services from Troy State University, a Masters of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University School of Theology. While attending Troy State University, he became the Youth Pastor of Cloverdale UMC in Dothan, Alabama.
Rudy's first two pastoral appointments came in June 1975; Old Tabernacle UMC, Enterprise, and as Associate Pastor at Enterprise First UMC in the Alabama-West Florida Conference. In 1980 Rudy and Gina moved back to the North Alabama Conference when he was appointed to the Hazel Green UMC.
In each of his churches Rudy has been the District Nominee for the Denman Evangelism Award which honors one clergy person, one lay person, and one youth for reaching others effectively for Christ. He received this award while serving at Guntersville First UMC in 1993. Rudy is the author Living the Abundant Life, which was published in 1989 by Discipleship Resources. He is presently rewriting this discipleship experience under a new name Living the Good Life.
Rudy and Gina have two daughters and three grandchildren.

Rev. Chad Kennington
Chad graduated from the University of North Alabama with a BS degree in Music Education in 2011. In 2012 he was licensed as a Local Pastor of the United Methodist Church. He received his Master of Arts in Youth Ministry from Memphis Theological Seminary in 2016.
Chad is married to the former Grace Mills and they have one child, Jack.
